27th September | 11:30am – 1:00pm
£20

Hello, lovely people of Jordans!

Get ready to unwind, restore, and find your inner calm with our upcoming Soothing Saturday Yoga Workshops.

This special workshop is designed to offer a beautiful journey into deep relaxation and gentle healing. We’ll begin by easing into a series of restorative yoga poses. Using props like bolsters, blankets, and blocks, you’ll be fully supported as you gently stretch and release tension from both your body and mind. This is a time to slow down, be still, and simply let go.

From there, we will transition into the profound practice of Yoga Nidra, or “yogic sleep.” Lying down comfortably, you’ll be guided through a systematic meditation that brings you to a state of deep conscious relaxation, leaving you feeling completely refreshed and renewed.

We will then complete our journey with a beautiful sound healing session. The resonant tones and vibrations from various instruments will wash over you, helping to clear energetic blockages and promote a sense of deep peace and harmony. It’s a truly magical way to close our practice and prepare you for a weekend of tranquillity.

What are the benefits of this practice?

  • Reduces stress and anxiety: Helps to calm the nervous system and quiet the mind.
  • Improves sleep quality: The deep relaxation can help alleviate insomnia and promote restful sleep.
  • Enhances physical and mental well-being: Gentle stretches and deep rest support the body’s natural healing processes.
  • Promotes a sense of peace and clarity: A wonderful opportunity to disconnect from the busy world and reconnect with yourself.

We can’t wait to welcome you to our peaceful sanctuary. Come as you are, and leave feeling completely soothed and revitalised.

October Workshops

Carolyn – Restorative Yoga and Meditation

11th October | 11:30am – 1:00pm
£20

Restorative Yoga is a gentler form of yoga, performed at a slower pace using asanas (poses) focusing on stretching and relaxing the body.  This slower type of practice encourages deep relaxation and stillness, which can help reduce stress and musculoskeletal pain associated with tight muscles, joints & connective tissues.  Props are often used, such as blocks and bolsters, to encourage a deeper relaxation practice.

Focus during this practice is also on connecting with the breath to deepen the relaxation process and the mind/body connection, which can help lower cortisol levels (stress hormone) in the body.   It is a wonderful practice to calm the mind and soothe the body and perfect to help people reach deep overall relaxation, a perfect practice to unwind and create inner peace.

This workshop will finish with a guided meditation to deepen the relaxation of the body and mind, encouraging an overall sense of calm and wellbeing.

Carolyn is a registered physiotherapist, sports & deep tissue massage therapist, NLP practitioner, and yoga & Pilates teacher.  She holds a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (MCSP/HCPC), Bachelor of Applied Science in Human Movement (Exercise Science), and a Diploma in Yoga Teacher Training.
