Aleka Powell – Gong Bath
19th September | 7:00pm – 8.30pm

Sound healing has been around for thousands of years, with roots in many ancient cultures. A sound bath is a meditative experience where you will be “bathed” in sound waves produced by various instruments such as gongs, singing bowls, chimes, and other resonant frequencies. The vibrations and frequencies are designed to bring about a state of deep relaxation, stress reduction, and overall health and vitality.
No experience needed, just lie back and get cosy on the heated floor.

Carolyn – Build your Pilates Foundations (to include your own exercise ball)
20th September | 11:30am – 1:00pm
£25
Pilates exercises help to stretch, tone and strengthen the body. The exercises focus on the deep core muscles of the spine and pelvis and various stabiliser muscles of the body to improve overall alignment, posture and strength. The principles of Pilates include concentration, connecting the exercise to the breath, core connection and awareness of body alignment and positioning. Pilates exercises usually involve high repetitions, often using our own body weight to build strength and also standing weight bearing exercises to improve our balance. It is very beneficial in building a stronger core, which may help reduce back pain.

This Pilates workshop will focus on building a strong foundation of the principles of Pilates by focusing on the technique and alignment. The workshop will work through some base moves as well as intermediate options and is suitable for beginners and also those who are familiar with the exercise. The Pilates miniball is a prop we will use to help aid pelvis and shoulder blade stability. the ball is included in the workshop and is yours to take home so you can practice what you’ve learnt!
